“Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”
At Hays Hills our kids experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a creative and relevant way.
We would love to see you and your family visit HH Kids!
The vision of HH Kids is to carry out the mission of Hays Hills Baptist Church by putting the scriptures into the heads, hands, and hearts of our children.
We accomplish our vision by practicing the following values:
- Praying for the kids (Colossians 1:3-14)
- Relying on the Holy Spirit to regenerate kids’ hearts through the faithful teaching of His Word (Ephesians 2:4-10; Titus 3:5)
- Making the whole Bible known to kids with a special emphasis on the Gospel (Deuteronomy 6:6-9; Romans 1:16-17)
- Equipping and encouraging parents who are primarily responsible for teaching biblical truths to their kids (Proverbs 1:8; Ephesians 6:4)
- Living Faithfully before the kids and modeling for them how Christians are called to respond to God, interact with others, and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 5:16; Mark 9:42)
Preschool (Newborn - 4 years old):
We offer nursery and childcare during the 9:30 and 10:45 services
- 9:30: the children will learn a lesson from the Gospel Project curriculum
- 10:45: the children will experience age-specific large group lesson time and lesson-themed crafts
Kids (Kinder - 5th grade):
- 9:30: Kids' Bible Life classes meet in Building C.
- 10:45: During the sermon portion of the second service, kids are escorted to Building A for Kids' Worship
On Wednesday nights during the school year, HH Kids hosts our AWANA program from 6:30pm - 7:45pm
Here's what to expect when visiting Hays Hills for the first time:
First, find one of our check-in stations in the Kids' Hallway in Building D. There we will meet your family, check your child into our system, give your children security badges, and then one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room. It’s best to allow yourself 10 minutes to check in your child before the service.
Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will protect this information):
- Parent/guardian name(s)
- Child's name
- Child's birthdate
- Home address
- Phone number
- Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children
Before Service: You can check-in your child at any available kiosk. After finding your child’s name in the database, your child will be given a name tag that is exclusive to them. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the matching security tag.
